Hygge Host began with a genuine desire to take good care of guests — and with one moment that changed everything.
It all started when a property owner contacted Daria and asked a simple question:
“Could you take care of my apartment in Rovaniemi the same way you take care of your own?”
At the time, Daria was working as a store manager and sharing her passion for short-term rentals on social media. Entrepreneurship was not part of the plan — but something about this request felt right.
So she said yes.
Hygge Host was founded in November 2023 together with Mikko. One opportunity quickly grew into something much bigger. Only six months later, Mikko made the decision to leave his job as a train driver and join the company full-time.
This was a turning point for us — a step toward what we are still building today: committed, practical, and meaningful work together.
We are based in Rovaniemi, in the heart of Finnish Lapland — a place we proudly call home.
Today, our collection includes carefully selected homes in Rovaniemi, Pyhä, and Himos. Our portfolio ranges from stylish city apartments to peaceful cabins surrounded by nature and high-end luxury villas.
